Heidi Mostert: Pilates

It was during her time as a professional ballet dancer in Australia, Europe & South Africa that Heidi first experienced the magical benefits of Pilates! Teaching became a natural progression from a career in dance, so in 1998 she became a Pilates instructor at Bodywise Physiotherapy in Perth.

Deciding to take a break from instructing and branch out into the Corporate world, Heidi then completed a Bachelor of Arts in Arts Management. She worked for Bell Shakespeare, Perth International Arts Festival and Opera Australia in Sponsorship and Corporate hospitality.

However it was in 2005, during a skiing holiday that everything suddenly changed for Heidi. A young skier crashed into her. Heidi knew straight away that something terrible had happened to her knee. Two ACL knee reconstructions later, she made the decision that she was never going to have another knee reconstruction again! During her rehabilitation, knowing the benefits of Pilates she decided to return to her passion, teaching Pilates and helping clients achieve their own goals.

We are delighted to have Heidi as one of our team of Pilates instructors. Heidi teaches classes on Thursday morning and also instructs our Prenatal Pilates sessions.
