Re-evaluating your 2009 health resolutions

It’s November. However we want you to think back to January of this year. What New Year’s resolutions did you make?
In the excitement and enthusiasm of the beginning of 2009, what did you decide you were going to do differently this year?
We often make big resolutions on the first day of the brand new year. We decide that finally this is the year we’re going to lose weight and get healthy.
However, while many people start the year ready for action, it doesn’t take long for those commitments to fade. As work gets busy, winter beckons and the kids go back to school, we settle back into old habits and patterns.
By mid-November it might feel “too late” and you might be tempted to give up on your New Year’s resolutions. However, we think there’s still time and space to make a change to your health. To lose some weight. To take your first steps towards getting fit.
There’s six weeks left
In the last six weeks of this year and even taking into account the Christmas craziness, you could still:
- lose up to 5kg
- beat those afternoon sugar cravings
- work out how you can eat vegetables every day
- make the time to include 3 sessions of exercise every week
- book a PT session with Alexia for a boost of energy and motivation
- take a walk at the end of the day, to clear your head, exercise and reduce your stress levels
To do this you will need to be focussed and get serious about your health. You’ll also need to have a plan and set yourself some realistic goals.
But don’t give up on 2009 you’d be amazed what you could still achieve.
